Job summary

Thera Trust is seeking enthusiastic support workers to join our inclusive team supporting adults with a learning disability. You will help create innovative ways to support individuals to achieve their own goals, aims and ambitions, and provide personal and emotional support as needed.

The role may involve supporting people in their own home or in community settings, with shifts including weekends on a rota basis and long day shifts. A full UK driving licence is required.

Qualifications

• No previous experience or qualifications required; full training provided.
• Comfortable with lone working and supporting individuals with mental health needs.
• Compassionate, caring and confident.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Self-starter with a high level of motivation.
• Excellent written and verbal communication; confident, articulate and professional.
• Keenness to learn in a fast-paced environment and solve problems.

Responsibilities

• Provide personal and emotional support to adults with learning disabilities.
