Job summary

Wrightington, Wigan and Leigh Teaching Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust is seeking an enthusiastic registered nurse to join the Wigan Central District Nursing team. The role includes delivering evidence-based nursing care in patient homes and working through a robust competency framework.

A structured preceptorship is provided and development within the role is encouraged. Applicants must have access to a car with business insurance for daily travel across the Trust; a DBS check will be completed

Qualifications

You will have a variety of clinical skills and be able to demonstrate continued professional development and qualified as a registered nurse.
You will need to be able to travel independently across the Trust.
Enhanced DBS with Adults' Barred List check will be obtained during pre-employment checks.

Responsibilities

Deliver evidence based nursing care as delegated by the District Nurse Coordinator/Team Leader.
Undertake skilled clinical nursing procedures and provide clinical advice.
Provide nursing care and support for patients with complex health care needs.
Assess, plan, implement and evaluate programmes of care per the District Nurse criteria.
Inform about changes in patient condition to the District Nurse Coordinator/Team Leader.
Ensure delivery of care via referrals to other agencies.
