Job summary

Nottinghamshire County Council is seeking a Communities Officer to lead community development activities across priority areas in the county. You will build trusted relationships, enable co-production, and improve wellbeing by applying preventative, community-led approaches.

With a strong emphasis on collaboration, you will work across programmes to deliver countywide community-based schemes, supported by a flexible hybrid working pattern and a focus on equality and inclusion.

Qualifications

• Experience in community development and community engagement.
• Strong knowledge of the community and voluntary sector.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills.

Responsibilities

• Engage with communities and partners to build strong, trusting relationships.
• Facilitate co-production efforts to address local health inequalities.
• Gather qualitative and quantitative evidence, including case studies, to showcase impact and support continuous improvement.
• Collaborate across multiple programmes and projects to maximise benefits for residents.
• Support the delivery of countywide community-based programmes aligned with the Thriving Communities programme and Council Strategic Plan.
