Band 7 Community Coordinator
We are looking for a highly motivated individual to lead the Community teams. The purpose of this role is to lead, support, and coordinate the day-to-day running of the service, and to play a key role in the development of these services.
As a Midwifery Practice Leader, you will be responsible for ensuring the provision of high-quality, woman-centred care in midwifery services, through clinical expertise, professional direction, and leadership.
The post holder will ensure that the care provided by the community midwifery team aligns with the Philosophy of Care advocated within the Women's Health Directorate of Guy’s and St Thomas’ Trust.

Work in accordance with the NMC’s rules and code of conduct for midwives.
Maintain and develop professional knowledge and competence in line with NMC recommendations.
Implement recommendations from government and professional bodies related to maternity care.
Act as a role model for midwifery practice within the directorate.
Serve as a Specialist Advisor on issues related to midwifery care to Practice members.
Identify areas for improvement and lead initiatives such as continuity of care.
Manage clinical activities related to the midwifery care model to enhance care quality in hospital and primary care settings.
Develop orientation programs for new staff members.
Participate in investigations of complaints, incidents, and accidents, reporting to the Midwifery Matron as appropriate.
Ensure safe working conditions in compliance with health and safety regulations.
Deputise for the Community Midwifery & Antenatal Clinic Matron as needed.
Be informed of risk management strategies, report incidents, conduct risk assessments, and develop action plans to reduce risks and handle complaints.
