Job summary

NHS Forth Valley is seeking a motivated Clinical Support Worker to join the Falkirk District Nursing team. You will work within a Multidisciplinary Team to provide routine patient care in patients’ homes, under supervision of District Nurses and Registered Nurses.

The role includes venepuncture, medication administration, catheter care and other clinical tasks as trained, including care for palliative and end‑of‑life patients in the home, with travel across the district.

Qualifications

• Experience in clinical support or district nursing.
• Ability to travel to patient homes.
• PVG Scheme membership is required or eligible for check.

Responsibilities

• Support MDT and staff nurses to provide routine patient care.
• Carry out clinical duties including venepuncture, medicine administration and catheter care as trained.
• Work autonomously with supervision from a Registered Nurse; lone working is part of the role.
• Travel to patient homes to deliver care as part of District Nursing in the Falkirk area.
