Job summary

Supertemps Limited in Conwy is seeking a Community Caretaker to provide caretaking across communal areas, gardens, and housing complexes within Conwy.

This is a full-time temporary post, 37 hours per week, for approximately two months, with possible extension for the right candidate.

The role pays £13.68 per hour, plus accrued holiday pay while on assignment.

Qualifications

• Full UK driving licence and access to own vehicle.
• Experience of working directly with customers/residents.
• Experience of basic gardening or grounds maintenance.
• Knowledge of Health & Safety procedures, including COSHH, manual handling, PPE and fire awareness.
• Ability to work independently, use your own initiative and prioritise tasks effectively.
• Good verbal and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Caretaking across multiple complexes and grounds, including surrounding areas.
• Check buildings and surroundings for hazards.
• Clean communal areas including stairways and refuse areas.
• Perform fire alarm tests & resets.
• Conduct garden maintenance in communal areas (grass cutting, strimming, weed control).
• Maintain general cleaning of shared spaces.

Do you want to work in a role where you will have the satisfaction of knowing that your contribution really matters?We have an opportunity for an experienced Community Caretaker to provide a caretaking service across communal areas, refuse areas and surrounding environments throughout Conwy.

In the Community Caretaker role, you will be:

• Working with several complexes and flats including surrounding areas such as gardens, pathways, car parks and communal lounges.
• Checking buildings and surrounding areas for any visible problems or potential hazards
• Cleaning of all communal areas including stairways and refuse areas in order to maintain a clean and safe living environment
• Performing fire alarm tests & resets to ensure systems are working correctly
• Carrying out garden maintenance in communal areas where required (e.g.grass cutting, strimming, weed killing etc.)
• General cleaning of common areas and shared spaces

To be considered for the Community Caretaker role, you must have:

• Full UK driving licence and access to your own vehicle.

The hourly pay rate is £13.68 per hour, plus accrued holiday pay whilst on assignment.The role is located across the Conwy area, with work based within various neighbourhoods and housing complexes.
