About the Role

We are looking for a reliable, proactive Communal Services Cleaner to join our frontline operational team on an initial 3-month fixed-term contract, with a strong view to permanent extension.

Shared communal areas are often the first thing residents see when they arrive home. Keeping these spaces clean, safe, and welcoming plays a vital role in creating communities people are proud to live in. In this mobile role, you will see the tangible impact of your work every day-transforming shared areas, ensuring resident safety, and providing high-quality customer service.

What You'll Be Doing

• Mobile Cleaning: Travel between local housing estates and residential blocks to clean communal entrances, stairwells, hallways, and shared landings.
• Estate Care: Execute litter picking, basic graffiti removal, bin store checks, and general upkeep of communal facilities.
• Safety & Compliance: Carry out routine communal health & safety checks (including fire door and safety light inspections) and report maintenance issues or hazards promptly via mobile device.
• Resident Interaction: Act as a friendly, professional face on-site, building positive relationships with residents and team members.

What We're Looking For

• Experience: Background in communal cleaning, commercial cleaning, caretaking, or frontline facilities management.
• Skills: Practical knowledge of cleaning chemicals, basic COSHH guidelines, and standard cleaning equipment.
• Driver: A full UK driving licence is essential due to the mobile nature of travelling between sites.
• Attributes: High reliability, strong attention to detail, self-motivation to manage daily workloads independently, and a pride in delivering great results for residents.
