Job summary

Orkney Islands Council is seeking a Relief Mobile Community Responder (Red Team) to join the on-call list for Orkney communities. The role provides a Community Care Alarm responder service and supports individuals to stay at home with appropriate care and assistance.

Red Team work three shifts including nights; unsocial hours may apply. The post requires Level 2 PVG disclosure and strong communication skills in a safety-conscious environment.

Qualifications

• Must have excellent written and verbal communication.
• Good understanding of health and safety including risk assessment.

Responsibilities

• Provide Community Care Alarm Responder service to Orkney residents.
• Help individuals remain at home and stay independent with support.
• Work in the Red Team with night shifts.
• Follow risk assessments and health and safety practices.
