Job summary

Helpers Homecare in Letchworth is seeking Care Assistants to join our dedicated teams. You will provide life-changing care in clients’ homes, supporting mobility, personal care and daily activities, with shifts including mornings, evenings and occasional weekends.

Full training is provided; no prior experience is required, but you must have a valid UK driving licence and access to a vehicle. We offer paid induction, DBS checks, and opportunities for progression in a friendly team.

Qualifications

• Have the right to work in the UK.
• A full driving licence and access to a vehicle are essential.
• No previous experience is necessary but you will need to show compassion and be an excellent communicator.
• Willingness to complete training and DBS checks.

Responsibilities

• Assist service users with mobility and daily living activities.
• Carry out domestic tasks such as laundry, cleaning and tidying rooms.
• Provide personal care including washing, bathing and toileting arrangements.
• Assist with meals and drinks, and feeding if required.
• Support with medication administration and end-of-life care as needed.

We have an excellent opportunity for Care Assistants to join our existing Care Teams based in:

• Hitchin
• Letchworth
• Baldock
• and surrounding areas

We have opportunities of both full time and part time positions available. Working usual shift patterns of:

• Mornings 7am-3pm
• Evenings 4pm-10pm
• Alternative weekends

As a Home Care Worker you’ll provide life-changing care and support that enables vulnerable adults of all ages to live fulfilling lives, within their own homes.

Job Description

• Helping service users overcome any mobility problems and other physical disabilities, including helping in the use of, and care of aids/adaptations and personal equipment.
• Domestic tasks such as making and changing beds, tidying rooms, light cleaning, laundry and emptying commodes
• Our home care assistants are responsible for assisting service users with personal care such as washing, bathing and toileting arrangements.
• Help with eating and drinking by preparing meals, snacks and drinks, assisting with feeding if required
• Support with preparing and administering medication.
• Contribute as needed to a person’s end-of-life care
