Job summary

Helpers Homecare is seeking Home Care Assistants to join our caring teams in the UK. You will support vulnerable adults at home, including mobility assistance, personal care and daily tasks, across morning and evening shifts.

Applicants must have a valid driving licence and access to a vehicle. No prior experience is required as full training and paid induction are provided, with opportunities for progression and funded qualifications.

Qualifications

• Friendly, compassionate attitud e toward vulnerable adults.
• Strong communication and listening skills.
• Ability to work independently and follow care plans.

Responsibilities

• Assist service users with mobility and use of aids and personal equipment.
• Perform domestic tasks including making beds, tidying, light cleaning and laundry.
• Support with personal care such as washing, bathing and toileting.
• Help with eating and drinking, prepare meals and drinks, assist with feeding if required.
• Assist with preparing and administering prescribed medications.
• Provide end-of-life care support where appropriate.

We have opportunities of both full time and part time positions available. Working usual shift patterns of;

• Mornings 7am-3pm
• Evenings 4pm-10pm

As a Home Care Worker you’ll provide life-changing care and support that enables vulnerable adults of all ages to live fulfilling lives, within their own homes.

Job Description:

• Helping service users overcome any mobility problems and other physical disabilities, including helping in the use of, and care of aids/adaptations and personal equipment.
• Domestic tasks such as making and changing beds, tidying rooms, light cleaning, laundry and emptying commodes
• Our home care assistants are responsible for assisting service users with personal care such as washing, bathing and toileting arrangements.
• Help with eating and drinking by preparing meals, snacks and drinks, assisting with feeding if required
• Support with preparing and administering medication.
• Contribute as needed to a person’s end-of-life care

Requirements:

• Have a right to work within the UK
• A driving licence and access to a vehicle is essential for this role.
• No previous experience is necessary but you will need to demonstrate real compassion, be an excellent communicator and problem solver, and be committed to delivering high-quality, respectful care
