Job summary

Care Santé Limited in the United Kingdom is hiring a part-time Home Care Worker to provide compassionate support in clients' own homes.

You will assist with mobility, daily tasks, meals, medication administration and companionship, helping service users stay safe and independent. No prior experience is required; full training and induction are provided, along with funding for recognised qualifications and a company phone.

Responsibilities

• Provide life-changing care and support in clients' own homes.
• Assist with mobility problems and use of aids/personal equipment.
• Perform domestic tasks such as bed making, tidying, light cleaning and laundry.
• Support access to the local community and accompany appointments.
• Prepare meals, snacks and drinks; assist with eating and drinking.
• Administer medications as required.
• Deliver companionship and emotional support; promote independence and wellbeing.
• Assist with catheter care and PEG-J care following training.

We have a part time position available. Working usual shift patterns of the below:

• Monday: 8.30am - 9.30am, 12.30pm - 4.30pm
• Tuesday: 8am - 4.30pm
• Alternate Fridays: 4pm - 10pm

Job Description:

As a Home Care Worker, you’ll provide life-changing care and support that enables vulnerable adults of all ages to live fulfilling lives in their own homes

• Helping service users overcome any mobility problems and other physical disabilities, including helping with the use and care of aids and personal equipment.
• Domestic tasks such as making and changing beds, tidying rooms, light cleaning, laundry and emptying commodes.
• Supporting service users to access and be a part of the local community, including attending appointments, events and social activities where needed.
• Help with eating and drinking by preparing meals, snacks and drinks.
• Support with administering medication.

In addition to providing personal care and support, you will also be responsible for:

• Supporting with catheter care.
• Assisting with PEG-J care following individual care plans and training provided.
• Administering and supporting with seizure medication as required.
• Supporting service users with shopping and running errands.
• Completing household tasks to help maintain a safe and comfortable home environment.
• Providing companionship and emotional support
• Accompanying service users to appointments.
• Supporting participation in sports, hobbies and recreational activities.
• Delivering tailored, person-centred support that promotes independence, choice and wellbeing.

Requirements:

• Have a right to work within the UK.
• A driving licence and access to a vehicle is essential for this role. - Needs to be able to drive a manual car and able to drive a WAV ( Wheelchair access vehicle )
• Experience in this role is essential. You will need to demonstrate real compassion, be an excellent communicator and problem solver, and be committed to delivering high-quality, respectful care.
