Job summary

Prestige Nursing & Care East Lancashire is seeking Professional Community Care workers to join our growing team to support individuals in their own homes across East Lancashire.

We provide mandatory training and client-specific training, with flexible full-time or part-time hours and diverse shifts, plus weekly pay and paid holidays. You will travel to client homes, deliver personal care, mobility support, meal prep and companionship while maintaining records.

Qualifications

• Valid driving licence
• Experience working in care
• Excellent communication with clients and team members
• Compassionate attitude and wellbeing focus
• Reliable, organised and able to work independently or as part of a team

Responsibilities

• Assist clients with personal care tasks such as bathing, dressing, and grooming
• Support with mobility and transfers to help clients move safely around their home
• Help with meal preparation and light household chores to maintain a clean and comfortable environment
• Administer medication as per care plans and monitor health conditions
• Provide companionship and emotional support to reduce feelings of loneliness or isolation
• Maintain accurate records of care provided and report any concerns to supervisors
• Drive clients to appointments or social activities, ensuring safe transportation
• Follow care plans meticulously to meet individual needs and preferences
• Communicate effectively with clients, family members, and healthcare professionals to ensure coordinated care

We provide all new members with our mandatory training programme, and further client-specific training where necessary. We offer our members a variety of work patterns with service users throughout East Lancashire. We can offer flexibility with either full time or part time hours.

The Role:

Tasks may include:

• Assist clients with personal care tasks such as bathing, dressing, and grooming

Hours

AM – 0700-1400 – Morning and lunch calls

PM – 1500-2200 – Teas and bed’s

All members working homecare will be required to work across all areas below:

• Blackburn
• Clitheroe
• Rishton
• Accrington
• Burney
• Nelson
• Colne
• Barnoldswick

Requirements

• Valid driving licence
• Experience working in care
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to build rapport with clients and team members
• Compassionate attitude with a genuine desire to support others’ well-being
• Reliable, organised, and able to work independently or as part of a team
