Job summary

Nationwide is seeking a Local Business Manager for our Nottingham branch. You will support customers from onboarding through ongoing servicing, focusing on delivering great outcomes and expanding our local business relationships.

The role combines relationship management with regulated lending decisions, supported by our training and accreditation program. In this branch-based position, you’ll engage with business customers, introducers and community networks, aiming to grow our business banking

Qualifications

• Experience delivering excellent customer outcomes in a regulated environment.
• Proven ability to build trusted relationships and understand customer needs.
• Excellent communication and influencing skills for a wide range of customers and colleagues.
• Skilled in identifying customer needs and connecting them with suitable products or support.
• Good judgement and decision-making balancing customer outcomes with risk management.
• Experience managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced setting.
• Proven track record of working accurately within regulatory risk frameworks.
• Willingness to learn and develop Business Banking knowledge.

Responsibilities

• Support customers throughout their relationship with Nationwide, from onboarding to servicing and complex needs.
• Develop and deepen relationships, make referrals to other teams when appropriate, and provide right support.
• Discuss finance options with customers and gain lending knowledge under delegated authority.
• Provide training and coaching to build Business Banking expertise and professional capability.
• Help colleagues build Business Banking knowledge and recognise when to introduce products and services.
