Job summary

Nationwide in London seeks a Local Business Manager to represent our Business Banking proposition at Tottenham Court Road. You’ll build trusted relationships with local business customers, introducers and community networks to identify and progress new opportunities.

This permanent, full-time role is based at the Tottenham Court Road branch with 35 hours per week, Monday to Saturday. We offer on-going training, a competitive benefits package and a culture focused on helping local businesses

Qualifications

• Experience delivering excellent customer outcomes in a regulated environment.
• Proven ability to build trusted relationships and understand customer needs.
• Excellent communication and influencing skills with a wide range of customers and colleagues.
• Skilled in identifying customer needs and connecting customers with the most appropriate products or services.
• Good judgement and decision-making balancing customer outcomes with effective risk management.
• Experience managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
• Proven track record of working accurately within regulatory requirements and risk frameworks.
• Willingness to learn and develop Business Banking knowledge and capability.

Responsibilities

• Support customers throughout their relationship with Nationwide, from onboarding and everyday servicing to more complex needs.
• Develop knowledge and confidence to make lending decisions within your delegated authority.
• Help branch colleagues build their Business Banking knowledge and confidence to recognise opportunities.
• Focus on achieving the right outcomes for customers while managing risk and complying with conduct requirements.
