Job summary

South London and Maudsley NHS Foundation Trust is seeking a permanent community-based role in Lambeth focused on applying behavioural assessment and intervention for people with learning disabilities whose behaviour challenges services or poses risks. The role uses Positive Behavioural Support in home and community settings.

You will be part of a multidisciplinary team of approximately 20 psychologists and behavioural support practitioners, with supervision from a qualified psychologist.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree and a PG Diploma in Applied Behaviour Analysis or Analysis are required.
• Experience with applied behavioural assessment and treatment of clients with complex needs and diverse backgrounds is essential.
• Experience delivering Positive Behavioural Support in home and community settings is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Provide applied behavioural assessment and intervention for people whose behaviour challenges services or poses risks to wellbeing.
• Plan, implement and monitor outcomes of specialist behavioural treatment.
• Apply Positive Behavioural Support principles across clinical work.
• Carry out risk assessment and management for complex situations.
• Work with people with learning disabilities, families and carers in home and community settings.
• Contribute to training, supervision and service development.
