Job summary

Action Deafness is seeking Communicator Guides to join our expanding team in Staffordshire. The role involves promoting independence and providing personalised support to Deafblind, Deaf, and people with sight loss to access community services.

Successful candidates will contribute to a caring, Deaf-led environment with ongoing training, progression opportunities, and a strong benefits package. A full driving license and access to a vehicle are essential for these roles.

Qualifications

  • Full valid driving licence and access to a vehicle
  • Experience supporting Deafblind, Deaf, and people with sight loss in daily tasks and enabling access to community services

Responsibilities

  • Provide personalised support to promote clients’ independence and empower them to carry out daily tasks
  • Assist with communication where necessary to help clients access services in the community
  • Support Deafblind, Deaf, and people with sight loss to carry out activities safely and with dignity

Our Communicator Guides promote clients’ independence by providing personalised support, empowering Deafblind, Deaf, and people with a sight loss to carry out daily tasks, and supporting them with communication where necessary, to access services in the community.
