Job description

Join our team as a Communications Specialist at JSM Group Services Ltd.

About the Role

As a Communications Specialist, you will be responsible for developing and executing external communications strategies to enhance JSM's brand and reputation. Your duties will include planning campaigns, managing media relations, and engaging with stakeholders and communities to promote our ESG initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Plan and implement multi-channel communication strategies aligned with company goals.
  2. Create engaging content for digital platforms, ensuring consistency with brand and SHEQ standards.
  3. Source stories from across the organization and select appropriate channels for dissemination.
  4. Maintain consistent messaging in collaboration with the Communications Manager.
  5. Manage media relations and draft press releases and media briefs.
  6. Monitor media coverage and identify opportunities for positive exposure.
  7. Oversee digital content, website updates, and branding alignment.
  8. Engage with communities and stakeholders, including local authorities and educational institutions.
  9. Support company events, press conferences, and ESG initiatives.
  10. Track and report on ESG KPIs and performance metrics.
  11. Participate in client meetings and contribute to bid proposals.

Qualifications

  • Minimum 2 years of experience in external communications, brand marketing, or media roles.
  • Excellent writing, editing, and verbal communication skills.
  • Experience with multiple platforms including press, digital, and social media.
  • Confidence in stakeholder engagement and presentation skills.
  • Proficiency in Adobe Creative Cloud, video editing, and digital communication tools.
  • Understanding of ESG strategies, impact reporting, and community engagement.
  • European media experience, particularly in Germany, is highly desirable.
  • Membership of CIPR, CIM, ACEJMC, or similar professional bodies is preferred.

Additional Requirements

The candidate must possess a valid driving license and own a vehicle for site visits.
