Job summary

Sizewell C Company is offering a 12-month Industrial Placement in its Digital Communications team in Suffolk. You’ll support a range of communications activities, from internal content to external storytelling, gaining hands-on experience on a nationally significant infrastructure project.

You’ll develop writing and digital skills, work with multi-disciplinary teams, and be mentored by communications professionals while contributing to campaigns, reports and community engagement initiatives.

We are looking for an enthusiastic and creative Industrial Placement Student to join our Communications Team in our Suffolk offices.

This is an opportunity to work at the heart of one of the UK's largest construction and energy projects, helping to tell the story of Sizewell C to employees, local communities, stakeholders and the wider public.

What you'll be doing:

As part of our Communications Team, you'll gain exposure to a broad range of communications activities and contribute to meaningful projects from day one. You could be:

• Creating engaging content for internal and external communication channels
• Supporting social media campaigns and digital communications
• Writing news stories, articles, interviews and case studies
• Assisting with community engagement events and stakeholder activities
• Supporting photography, video and content creation projects
• Monitoring media coverage and preparing reporting insights
• Helping to develop communication materials, presentations and briefings
• Working with teams across the business to share key project updates and success stories

What we're looking for:

We're looking for students who are passionate about communication, storytelling and engaging audiences.

You should be:

• Currently studying towards a degree in Internal Communications, Communications & Media Studies, Public Relations, Journalism, Marketing, Digital Media, English Language or English Literature, Business Management, Human Resources / People Management, Psychology, Sociology, Politics or Public Policy, International Relations, Events Management, Creative Writing or Graphic Design
• Looking for a 12-month industrial placement as part of your degree
• An excellent written and verbal communicator
• Creative, curious and willing to learn
• Organised, proactive and able to manage multiple priorities
• Confident using Microsoft Office applications and digital platforms
• Interested in major infrastructure, sustainability or the energy sector

About the Company

You will work on one of the most exciting and significant sustainable energy projects that our country has ever seen, being at the forefront of the UK's climate change agenda and energy policy. Sizewell C is a nuclear new build project in Suffolk. When completed, it will provide dependable electricity to 6 million homes for at least 60 years.
