Job title: Communications & Engagement Manager

Location: London Area, United Kingdom (On-site)

The Green Recruitment Company have been exclusively engaged by a UK leading developer, owner, and operator of Renewable Energy Assets in the UK – to support their continued growth across the UK.

In addition to the existing portfolio, the business has an affluent project pipeline to develop & construct ≤15 further assets. Each project is valued at circa £25m. The Business comprises a high pedigree of renewable energy professionals, however, in keeping with their ambitions seek an astute & experienced Communications & Engagement specialist to join the business.

Role Responsibilities:

1. Community engagement lead in support of project planning & development of renewable energy pipeline. Particular focus on opposition resolution if/as required.
2. Act as the main press contact and media liaison for the company, responding to press inquiries promptly as spokesperson, and setting up interviews with relevant decision-makers in the business.
3. Take ownership & create engaging press releases, articles, newsletters, and marketing materials on related developments, projects & partnerships.
4. Lead on the development & implementation of the Company's multi-media communications strategy.
5. Plan and manage design for internal/external marketing materials.
6. Develop & design communication strategies for stakeholders, NGOs, Local Governments, Landowners, and policymakers & build customer recognition.
7. Work collaboratively to instigate new ideas & strategies, to remain current & forward-thinking.
8. Build relationships at all levels with Stakeholders.

Requirements:

1. Degree educated – strong preference towards Communications, Journalism, and Public Relations.
2. Demonstrated experience leading community engagement linked to infrastructure development projects (Highly preferred)
3. Demonstrated experience working within a similar role, within Renewable Energy, Bioenergy, Energy from Waste, Anaerobic Digestion, Sustainability, Circular Economy Waste Management, Largescale Processing, Manufacturing or Renewable Energy Infra (A Must).
4. Experience creating targeted content.
5. Comfortable with public speaking.
6. Previous experience working in events (desirable).
