Chelmsford College is seeking a Communication Support Worker on a fixed-term contract to support deaf learners. This role involves collaboration with teaching staff to enhance the educational experience of students with special educational needs and disabilities (SEND). The ideal candidate will have BSL Level 3 or above and a passion for inclusion.
Title: Communication Support Worker (Fixed Term)
Hours: 30 hours per week, 38 weeks per annum
Salary: Up to £36,598 (FTE), £24,827.42 actual

Would you like to work within a friendly team that aims to provide an outstanding level of support for learners with SEND? We are seeking a Communication Support Worker with BSL at Level 3 or above on a fixed-term contract until June 2026. You will have an interest in working with deaf learners aged 16-19 and be able to collaborate effectively with teaching staff to engage and inspire young people to reach their full potential. You will play a vital role in promoting inclusion and supporting the college community by increasing awareness and understanding of SEND.
