Coventry College is seeking a Communication Support Worker (BSL signing required) to join our ALS team within Learner Services at Coventry College. The role is full-time term-time only, 37 hours per week, 38 weeks per year, with permanent status.
You will provide learning support to deaf learners, sign for learners, and help develop personalised strategies to access digital tools and learning activities across areas such as construction, motor vehicle, and health and social care.

Salary: £22,151 to £22.595 per annum - £26,166 - £26,690 FTE (dependent on qualifications and experience)About Us

Are you an experienced CSW who could provide learning support to students with sensory needs that impact on their learning? This role requires a fully qualified BSL/ CSW who is able to sign for deaf learners.
Do you understand the challenges faced by deaf learners in a mainstream College? Are you able to implement appropriate strategies to help learners overcome these challenges?
Are you able to develop and use personalised strategies that optimise learning for students of all abilities?
Are you keen to ensure that learners are prepared for today’s digital world and can access the assistive technologies that will make their learning easier and accessible?

To be successful in this role you will need to have had previous experience in the role of Communication Support Worker.
