Job summary

eTeach UK Limited is seeking a committed Communication Support Worker to assist deaf and hard of hearing students at Harrow College. You will help learners access the curriculum in class, promote awareness of support services, and work with staff to meet diverse student needs.

The role requires BSL Level 3, strong signing skills, and experience with deaf learners in educational settings. It is a full-time position with a salary range stated in the advert and pro rata consideration for term-time

Job description

Salary: Salary in the range of £30,814 - £35,511 pa

We are seeking to appoint a full time Communication Support Worker to provide support for deaf and hard of hearing students at Harrow College. You will ensure that deaf and hard of hearing students are supported in class and are able to gain maximum access to the curriculum. You will promote awareness of the support services within the college and encourage awareness of the needs of deaf and hard of hearing learners with both staff and students.You will be qualified to a minimum of British Sign Language Level 3, possess good signing skills and have experience of working with deaf and/or hard of hearing people, ideally in an educational environment. Good team working skills and a flexible approach to meeting the needs of all students are also required. Please note, we are unable to offer sponsorship for this role. Please note: for individuals who start a term time only role after 1st September, the salary will be pro-rated from the start date to the end of this academic year (31st August 2027). This ensures that the correct entitlement to pay and holiday pay relative to the portion of the year worked. This will be paid in equal monthly instalments until 31 August.
