Job summary

Confidential is seeking an experienced Communication Support Worker to support Deaf and hard-of-hearing learners in Morden. The role requires proficiency in British Sign Language (BSL) and a commitment to inclusive education to ensure full curriculum access.

Responsibilities include interpreting between English and BSL, collaborating with tutors, and maintaining learner records. The position may be part-time, full-time, or temporary, with a supportive team and ongoing professional development.

Qualifications

• Level 3 BSL qualification (essential)
• Experience supporting Deaf or hard-of-hearing learners
• Ability to adapt and modify learning materials to meet communication needs
• Ability to promote Deaf awareness among staff and peers
• Strong communication and organisational skills

About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Communication Support Worker (CSW) to provide high-quality support to Deaf and hard-of-hearing learners. The ideal candidate will be confident using British Sign Language (BSL), committed to inclusive education, and able to work collaboratively with teaching staff to ensure learners have full access to the curriculum.
