Job summary

Teaching Personnel is seeking a Communication Support Assistant for a SEN Primary School in Bury. You will provide 1:1 and small-group support to pupils with additional needs, helping them engage with lessons and the wider school environment.

You’ll adapt communication to each child and build trusting relationships to develop confidence and independence. Working closely with teachers and the SEN team, you’ll support pupils who may display challenging behaviour in a calm, positive way.

Qualifications

  • Patience, reliability, and resilience.

Are you passionate about helping children find their voice, build confidence and engage with learning?

We are looking for a Communication Support Assistant to join a welcoming SEN primary school in Bury, supporting pupils with a range of additional needs and helping them communicate, connect and thrive in the classroom.

This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who is patient, compassionate and confident building positive relationships with children who may communicate in different ways.

The Role
  • Provide 1:1 and small-group support to pupils with communication and additional needs.
  • Help children engage with lessons, activities and the wider school environment.
  • Adapt your communication and support to suit individual pupils.
  • Build trusting relationships and encourage pupils to develop their confidence and independence.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay.
