Job summary

West Northamptonshire Council is seeking a proactive Commissioning and Performance Administrator to join the Commissioning Team. You will support provider engagement, contracts and performance processes to keep services running smoothly and improve outcomes for residents.

This varied role offers exposure to partnership working with providers and colleagues across Adult Social Care, with opportunities to contribute ideas, drive improvements and own key processes.

Qualifications

• Experience working in a busy administrative or business support environment.
• Excellent organisational skills and strong attention to detail
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Experience arranging meetings, events and producing accurate minutes.
• Confidence using Microsoft Office 365 and business systems.
• The ability to manage competing priorities and work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
• A positive approach to problem‑solving and continuous improvement.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate provider forums, workshops and engagement events that bring together organisations from across the care sector to share information, discuss priorities and support service development.
• Create and distribute provider newsletters and communications, helping ensure important updates reach those delivering care and support services across the county.
• Support commissioning activity through the administration of provider contracts and associated processes.
• Maintain performance information, records and systems that support decision‑making and service improvement.
• Support projects, meetings and initiatives that contribute to the ongoing development of Adult Social Care services.
• Produce reports, meeting documentation and minutes that help keep workstreams and partnership activity moving forward.
• Build positive relationships with providers, colleagues and stakeholders across the sector.
• Identify opportunities to improve processes and help drive more effective ways of working.
