Ernest Gordon Recruitment is hiring a Maintenance Engineer (Industrial Automation) in Taunton. You will commission, install, troubleshoot and service converting machinery for a global customer base, with training and progression opportunities.

The role includes 50% site work in Taunton and 50% national/international travel, working with Siemens and Allen-Bradley PLCs and HMIs. Salary ranges from £52,000 to £56,000 with progression, annual bonus, and expensed travel.

Qualifications

• Fully time-served electrical engineer with automation experience.
• Experience commissioning, installing, troubleshooting and servicing machinery.
• Willingness to travel internationally and able to work on customer sites.

Responsabilités

• Commission, install, and service converting machinery at customer sites worldwide.
• Provide technical support, troubleshooting, and hands-on fixes across electrical and control systems.
• Train customers on safe and efficient use of machinery.
• Diagnose issues and apply debugging techniques to resolve them.
• Work 50% on-site in Taunton and 50% travel nationally/internationally.
