Job summary

Premier Technical Recruitment Ltd is seeking an experienced Installation and Commissioning Engineer for a Derby-based client delivering end-to-end control system solutions across transport, airport and power sectors. The role involves on-site commissioning, testing and handover to customers, with a mix of days and nights.

You will work with project and development teams performing loop checks, I/O testing and PLC tests, field device setup and site acceptance activities.

Qualifications

• At least 2 years in commissioning roles on control systems.
• Full UK driving licence and passport/eligibility for Europe.
• Ability to work a mix of days and nights on-site.
• Experience with on-site testing, handover, and client-facing activities.

Responsibilities

• Commissioning, testing and troubleshooting installation of equipment and control systems on site.
• Perform loop checks, I/O testing and functional verification of systems.
• PLC data input tests and field device setup.
• Site acceptance tests and fault finding in PLC code or wiring.
• Produce RAMs, test documentation and progress reports.
• Attend site progress meetings and represent the company during client tests.
