Job summary

Discover Recruitment Ltd is partnering with a specialist engineering business in Ilkeston to recruit a hands-on Control Systems Engineer. You will design, develop and deliver PLC, HMI and SCADA solutions across multiple projects, with involvement from concept through FAT, SAT and final handover.

The role requires a strong controls/electrical engineering foundation, experience across design, testing and commissioning, and a proactive approach to project delivery.

Qualifications

• Experience designing and developing PLC, HMI and SCADA software.
• Strong background in controls/electrical engineering and project delivery.

Responsibilities

• Design and deliver PLC, HMI and SCADA control systems.
• Create and modify PLC/HMI/SCADA software.
• Produce control schematics, diagrams and docs.
• Design industrial networks (Fibre, Ethernet, Serial).
• Specify sensors, instrumentation and interfaces.
• Collaborate on electrical panel layouts with CAD Engineers.
• Develop Factory Acceptance Testing and site commissioning.
