Job summary

Mark’s Club in London is seeking an enthusiastic and motivated Commis Waiter to join our private members’ dining team. Based in a Mayfair townhouse, the role supports the Front of House to deliver exceptional service to Members and guests.

You will work closely with Waiters and Head Waiters, assisting with smooth service in a refined, high‑quality dining environment while developing your knowledge of food, wine and hospitality.

We are looking for an enthusiastic and motivated Commis Waiter to join the team at Mark’s Club, one of London’s most distinguished private members’ clubs and part of The Birley Clubs.

Mark’s Club is a private members’ dining club, based in an elegant Mayfair townhouse, serving refined, award-winning cuisine alongside an outstanding selection of cocktails, wines and cigars. Throughout the year, the Club hosts a series of exclusive events, creating a vibrant and engaging environment for both Members and the team.

As Commis Waiter, you will play an important role in supporting the Front of House team to deliver exceptional service to our Members and their guests. You will work closely with the Waiters and Head Waiters, assisting with the smooth running of service while developing your knowledge and skills within a high-quality dining environment.

We Are Ideally Looking For Candidates Who

• Have previous experience in a similar hospitality role, although this is not essential
• Have a genuine passion for hospitality and delivering excellent service
• Are enthusiastic, hardworking and eager to learn
• Have a positive and friendly attitude
• Are excellent team players who enjoy working in a fast-paced environment
• Have a keen interest in food, wine and hospitality and are looking to develop their knowledge
• Have excellent attention to detail and take pride in their work
