Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Commis Pastry Chef to join our culinary team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for food production and a desire to learn and grow within the hospitality industry.

As a Pastry Commis Chef, you will assist in preparing and presenting desserts, ensuring all food safety standards are met while contributing to a positive team environment.

Duties
  • Assist in preparing ingredients and creating desserts under the supervision of senior chefs.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen, including workstations and equipment.
  • Follow recipes and presentation specifications to ensure consistency in food quality.
  • Support the culinary team in food plating and garnishing.
  • Adhere to food safety regulations and hygiene standards at all times.
  • Collaborate with kitchen staff for efficient service during busy periods.
  • Participate in training sessions to enhance culinary skills and food production techniques.

  • Previous kitchen experience is preferred but not essential; a strong willingness to learn is key.
  • Knowledge of food safety practices and regulations.
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team and demonstrate leadership when needed.
  • Strong communication skills with a focus on hospitality and customer service.
  • Flexibility to work varied shifts, including evenings and weekends.
  • A genuine passion for cooking and the culinary arts, with eagerness to develop skills in food production and team management.

Employment: Full-time

Schedule: 38-48 hours per week

Salary: £13.71 – £14.71 hourly
