Job summary

Liverpool Football Club is seeking Commis Chefs to join the culinary team at Anfield Stadium. You will support senior chefs in preparing and cooking high-quality food for matchdays and events, and you’ll learn in a fast-paced stadium environment.

This full-time role offers 40 hours per week with opportunities to develop skills, work with a supportive brigade, and benefit from our staff schemes. Prior kitchen experience and a Basic Food Hygiene Certificate are desirable.

Qualifications

• Experience in a professional kitchen environment (placement or apprenticeship desirable).
• Must hold a Basic Food Hygiene Certificate.
• Able to work in a fast-paced kitchen and stay calm under pressure.
• Good team player with a proactive attitude and willingness to learn.

Responsibilities

• Assist in the preparation and cooking of food to high standards.
• Ensure all food is prepared according to recipes, portions, and presentation.
• Maintain cleanliness, organisation, and safety in your section.
• Follow all food safety, allergen, and hygiene procedures.
• Support stock rotation and minimise waste per guidelines.
• Work collaboratively to ensure smooth service across areas.
• Demonstrate a positive attitude and willingness to learn from senior chefs.

Job description

We are looking for Commis Chefs to join the team at Liverpool FC.

As a Commis Chef, you will support our senior chefs in delivering high-quality food across our stadium on a matchday and during events. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone at the early stages of their chef career who is eager to learn, develop their skills, and gain experience within a fast-paced stadium environment.

What will you be doing?

As part of our culinary brigade, you will play a vital role in helping deliver exceptional food experiences to supporters, guests, and VIP clients. Your responsibilities will include:

• Assisting in the preparation and cooking of food to the highest standards.
• Ensuring all food is prepared in line with recipes, portion control guidelines, and presentation standards.
• Maintaining high levels of cleanliness, organisation, and safety within your section
• Following all food safety, allergen, and hygiene procedures at all times.
• Supporting stock rotation and minimising waste in line with company guidelines
• Working collaboratively with colleagues to ensure smooth and efficient service across all areas.
• Demonstrating a positive attitude and willingness to learn from senior chefs

Who are we looking for?

• Some previous experience in a professional kitchen environment (placement, apprenticeship, or similar desirable).
• A Basic Food Hygiene Certificate.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced kitchen and remain calm under pressure.
• A strong team-player mindset with a positive, proactive attitude.
• Enthusiasm for developing skills
