Job summary

Hiddenwell is opening a brand-new 60-cover Mediterranean restaurant at Hoar Cross Hall, Staffordshire. We are seeking an enthusiastic Commis Chef to learn from experienced chefs and develop your culinary career as part of the opening brigade.

You will prepare, cook and present dishes, learn our recipes and ingredients, and gradually take on more responsibility as your confidence grows while learning the kitchen from day one.

Qualifications

• Previous kitchen experience or a culinary qualification would be helpful, but attitude and potential matter most.
• Interest in Mediterranean cuisine and a genuine passion for food.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and cook dishes following recipes and dish specifications.
• Develop knife and preparation skills and learn to work with fish, meat, vegetables, pasta, sauces and more.
• Support Chef de Partie during preparation and service.
• Keep your section clean, organised and properly stocked.
• Participate in pre-opening training, menu tastings and service rehearsals.
