Job summary

Rosewood Hotel Group is seeking a Commis Chef to support the senior kitchen team and help deliver exceptional standards of quality, presentation and service. You will work across the kitchen and hotel, applying Rosewood’s Sense of Place philosophy with professionalism and passion for culinary excellence.

Qualifications

• Must show pride in food quality, presentation and attention to detail.
• Ability to follow recipes and technical specifications precisely.
• Understanding of food hygiene, allergens, HACCP and safe kitchen practices.
• Positive mindset as a team player open to feedback and learning.
• Flexibility to work in a busy kitchen with evolving menus and priorities.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and deliver dishes in line with recipes and technical sheets, upholding high quality and presentation.
• Support the Chef de Partie and Sous Chef with daily tasks to ensure smooth kitchen operations.
• Maintain a clean, organised and safe work environment following HACCP and health and safety requirements.
• Build knowledge of menu allergens and ingredients to provide a safe guest experience.
• Inspect ingredient deliveries for quality, accuracy and quantity, upholding standards.
• Contribute enthusiastically to every service and collaborate with colleagues across the kitchen.
