Job summary

Delta Hotels by Marriott Peterborough is seeking a Commis Chef to join our kitchen team. You will work closely with seasoned chefs to prepare and present a range of dishes, assisting with preparation and ensuring quality presentation.

We look for a cooking passion, a team player with a proactive mindset, and flexibility to work various shifts, including weekends. Related experience is welcomed but not required.

Qualifications

• A genuine passion for food and producing consistent quality meals.
• Willingness to learn and adapt in a fast paced kitchen.
• Ability to work well within a team and take direction.

Responsibilities

• Work with experienced chefs to prepare and execute a variety of dishes.
• Assist with food preparation including chopping, slicing and dicing.
• Follow instructions to ensure consistent high quality plating.
• Learn cooking techniques under guidance of chefs.
• Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure smooth service.
• Adhere to food safety and hygiene standards.
