Job summary

Delta Hotels by Marriott Peterborough is seeking a Commis Chef to join our kitchen team. You will work closely with seasoned chefs to prepare and present a range of dishes, assisting with preparation and ensuring quality presentation.

We look for a cooking passion, a team player with a proactive mindset, and flexibility to work various shifts, including weekends. Related experience is welcomed but not required.

Qualifications

A genuine passion for food and producing consistent quality meals.
Willingness to learn and adapt in a fast paced kitchen.
Ability to work well within a team and take direction.

Responsibilities

Work with experienced chefs to prepare and execute a variety of dishes.
Assist with food preparation including chopping, slicing and dicing.

Learn cooking techniques under guidance of chefs.
Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure smooth service.
Adhere to food safety and hygiene standards.

What you will do

Work closely with our experienced chefs to prepare and execute a variety of dishes.
Food preparation including chopping, slicing, and dicing ingredients to perfection.
Follow instructions to ensure consistency and high quality presentation of dishes.
Learn and develop cooking techniques under the guidance of our skilled chefs.
Collaborate with fellow kitchen staff to ensure smooth service and timely meal preparations.
Adhere to food safety and hygiene standards to maintain a safe kitchen environment.
