Job summary

The Grand Hotel Birmingham is hiring a Commis Chef to join its fast-moving kitchen. You’ll support senior chefs, rotate through sections, and help maintain high hygiene standards while learning on the job.

With shifts that include days, evenings, and weekends, you’ll develop skills across stations, contribute to guest dining experiences, and benefit from staff meals, service charges, and career development opportunities at De Vere.

Qualifications

• Experience in a kitchen environment is a plus, but not essential.
• Genuine passion for food and ambition to progress in your career.
• Food hygiene knowledge – a food hygiene certificate is desirable.
• Good communication and teamwork skills.
• Flexibility to work a shift pattern including evenings and weekends.

As a Commis Chef at The Grand Hotel Birmingham you’ll be part of a fast-moving kitchen team, preparing fresh dishes for guests and building the skills to take your career forward.
