The Ivy Collection in Glasgow is seeking a Commis Chef to join our expanding team at The Ivy Brasserie and The Ivy Asia venues. You will work closely with the prep team to ensure daily par levels are met, contributing to high-quality dishes in a fast-paced setting.

Ideal candidates have previous commis chef experience, strong culinary skills, and a good understanding of food safety. You will thrive under pressure, follow instructions from senior staff, and support colleagues to deliver

Qualifications

• Previous experience as a Commis Chef or similar role in a professional kitchen environment.
• Good culinary skills with a passion for cooking and learning.
• Ability to work efficiently under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
• Good understanding of food safety.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and cook high-quality dishes according to recipes.
• Set up and stock their assigned section with necessary supplies and ingredients.
• Collaborate closely with prep chefs to monitor inventory and ensure correct daily par levels.
• Maintain cleanliness and organisation of work areas, adhering to food safety.
• Follow instructions from the Senior Management to ensure consistency and quality in every dish.
• Good communication and teamwork skills.
