Lighthouse Hotel Management in Edinburgh is seeking a Commis Chef to support the kitchen team in delivering exceptional dining experiences for guests. The role provides on‑the‑job training and emphasizes food safety, hygiene and allergen compliance, with a focus on teamwork and a high standard of service.

You will work within a 24/7 hotel operation, contributing to a vibrant and inclusive workplace while developing culinary skills and supporting all kitchen stations.

Qualifications

• Prior experience in a similar role may be beneficial but on the job training will be provided.
• Excellent communication skills in English, both verbal and written.
• A passion for delivering exceptional guest experience with an adaptable approach to any alteration requests in line with allergen requirements.
• Strong organizational skills and the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
• Flexibility to work varying shifts, including weekends and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Dining Experience: work as part of the kitchen team to create memorable dishes and guest experiences.
• Passion for Excellence: follow food safety, hygiene and allergen guidelines to minimise cross contamination and risk.
