Job summary

Compass Group UK is seeking an ambitious Chef to support Defence on a full-time basis (37.5 hours per week). You will prepare and serve high-quality food while overseeing menu changes and inventory in a large food service environment.

Qualifications

• Experience supervising a team.
• Hold a Food Hygiene certificate.
• City & Guilds 706/1 & 2 or NVQ equivalent.
• Passion for great-tasting food and customer service.

Responsibilities

• Preparing delicious, high-quality food that delights our clients and customers.
• Overseeing and implementing menu changes.
• Identifying opportunities to improve our food services.
• Listening and acting on customer feedback to improve services.
• Supporting with the creation of new menus and food concepts.
• Representing Defence and maintaining a positive brand image.
• Monitoring inventories to keep kitchens well-stocked.
• Overseeing kitchen cleaning to maintain hygiene standards.
• Complying with Food Handling, Hygiene and Health & Safety regulations.
