Job summary

Courtyard by Marriott Glasgow SEC is seeking a Commis Chef for full-time work in our Hop Scotch restaurant. You’ll perform food preparation and basic cooking under supervision, rotating through sauces, vegetables, fish and butchery to build foundational culinary skills.

Ideal candidates will be fluent in English, with at least 1 year of kitchen experience, a passion for food, resilience under pressure and a willingness to grow within Marriott’s kitchen teams.

Gross hourly rate - £13.47

We have a fantastic position for a Commis Chef in our new restaurant Hop Scotch at the brand new Courtyard by Marriott Glasgow SEC.

Responsibilities

As a Commis Chef you’re on the first rung of the ladder to becoming a great chef.

You will do food preparation work and basic cooking under the supervision of a Chef de Partie, rotating through sections such as sauce, vegetables, fish and butchery.

This is your big chance to learn all there is to know about your trade.
