Job summary

Chefs for Chefs Ltd in Ilkley, West Yorkshire, is seeking a Commis chef to join a Michelin-starred brigade. You will work in a 45-cover, family‑run restaurant and help maintain the Michelin star and 3 AA Rosettes.

This friendly, flexible kitchen offers a hands-on environment where you can develop your skills by learning from experienced chefs. Commis chef experience is required, and you must be able to commute to Ilkley daily.

We are working with a Michelin starred restaurant, whom are the first name when it comes to fine dining in West Yorkshire. The restaurant is based in Ilkley and has held a Michelin star for the past number of years.

The restaurant is owned and managed by a husband and wife team that have dominated the food scene in west Yorkshire in their careers. The environment is very friendly and flexible with a down to earth management style.

The Food styling has traditional influence but has adapted to modern techniques, offering their diners a unique experience in the region.

We are looking for a Commis chef for the restaurant, to join this very successful brigade in pushing forward and developing the business further.

CANDIDATE ROLE

Role responsibilities

• Work as part of the team, working towards the maintenance of the Michelin star and 3 AA Rosettes
• Manage and prepare the sections stock, ensuring standards are met and consistency is met from day to day.
• Work alongside the senior team to develop menus working with the best of seasonal produce
• Manage the section orders, organisation and cleanliness of any given section
• Develop your skill set in a Michelin star environment
• Manage your time efficiently, meeting working deadlines given
