Job summary

A prestigious country house hotel in Malton, North Yorkshire, is seeking a passionate Commis chef to join a modern British kitchen. Live-in accommodation is available for the right candidate and you will assist in running a designated kitchen section.

You will work with the senior team, ensure consistency of produce to the chef’s standards, and contribute to restaurant, C&B and wedding functions while developing your career in a supportive, professional environment.

Qualifications

• Commis chef experience preferred.
• All fresh food background is a must.
• Ideally in a similar establishment.
• Must want to succeed as a chef.
• Must have experience working in restaurant and conference and banqueting.
• Be professional and approachable at all times.

We are looking for a passionate and eager Commis chef to join our clients stunning country house hotel in Malton, North Yorkshire.

The establishment has a fantastic reputation as a destination hotel which nestles pleasingly in the market town of Malton. There is a strong emphasis on producing modern British cuisine and using ingredients sourced as locally as possible and always in keeping with the seasons.

The large, modern kitchen is well equipped to deal with the conference and banqueting as well as a strong trade from both the restaurant and the more informal brasserie option for dining guests.
