Job summary

Dean Court in York, part of The Inn Collection Group, is seeking a Commis Chef to contribute to high-quality dishes and maintain kitchen standards. You will join a passionate team in a busy pub-with-rooms environment, ensuring food safety, proper storage and accurate recipe adherence while collaborating with colleagues across kitchen, front-of-house and management.

Qualifications

• Prepare food items, assist in maintaining high standards of food safety, storage, labeling and adherence to recipes.
• Work in close collaboration with kitchen, front-of-house and management teams to ensure smooth service.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and portion dishes for services while maintaining station cleanliness and organization.
• Operate standard kitchen equipment safely and efficiently, following recipes and specifications.

You’ll Fit Right Inn

As Commis Chef, you’ll be at the heart of our kitchen, working closely with the team to deliver high-quality dishes and maintain our standards. Whether you’re experienced or studying, your passion for food will shine through as you take responsibility for your section. You’ll manage food safety, storage, labeling, and adherence to recipes and specifications.

Your role involves efficient, collaborative work with kitchen, front-of-house, and management teams. You’ll prepare food items, operate standard kitchen equipment safely, and maintain a clean station.
