Job summary

The Royal Castle in Dartmouth, part of St Austell Brewery, invites an enthusiastic Commis chef to join our busy kitchen team. You'll help prepare dishes, work with locally sourced produce and ensure every plate meets our high standards.

Qualifications

• Experience as a commis chef in a fast-paced kitchen environment.
• Ability to assist in food preparation and follow kitchen procedures.

The Royal Castle occupies a landmark location in the heart of Dartmouth. Our award-winning 17th-century hotel enjoys enviable views over the River Dart and offers the perfect place for enjoying a drink and a bite to eat.

You’ll be working in a picturesque corner of South Devon adorned with serene outdoor spaces that will take your breath away. While the waterside offers a restful escape, the town itself buzzes with life, striking a perfect balance that provides something for everyone.

Are you an enthusiastic Commis chef with experience of working in a fast-paced environment? Join our talented kitchen team and you’ll be working alongside passionate people, cooking with locally sourced produce to provide quality food that delights our guests. As a commis chef you will be assisting in the preparation of food, working as part of the team ensuring the correct procedures are followed and specifications for each dish are precisely met.
