Job summary

St Austell Brewery’s Rose & Crown in Yealmpton is seeking an enthusiastic Commis chef to join our busy kitchen team. You will assist in the preparation of dishes, work with locally sourced produce, and help deliver quality food that delights our guests.

Ideal candidates are well organised, adaptable and passionate about cooking. You’ll follow correct procedures and specifications for each dish, maintain high kitchen standards, and contribute to a warm, welcoming dining experience for guests.

Qualifications

• Experience as a commis chef in a fast-paced environment.
• Ability to work as part of a team and follow procedures.
• Good knowledge of food handling and kitchen operations.

Set in the beautiful village of Yealmpton, The Rose & Crown is a much-loved pub with accommodation that’s renowned for its food, cosy interior, and suntrap walled garden.

You’ll be working in the South Hams, largely an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, which is abundant with magnificent scenery. You’ll find breathtaking beaches, quality local food, history, culture, and enchanting woodland all moments away.

Are you an enthusiastic Commis chef with experience of working in a fast-paced environment? Join our talented kitchen team and you’ll be working alongside passionate people, cooking with locally sourced produce to provide quality food that delights our guests. As a commis chef you will be assisting in the preparation of food, working as part of the team ensuring the correct procedures are followed and specifications for each dish are precisely met.
