Vivid Resourcing Ltd advertises a Commercial Valuer role for a leading national property consultancy in Manchester, with emphasis on leisure assets and a varied portfolio across hotels, pubs, restaurants, healthcare and leisure markets.

The role requires MRICS status (or working towards Registered Valuer) and experience in commercial valuation, with strong analytical, report-writing and client-facing skills. Hybrid working across Manchester and London is offered.

Responsibilities

• Undertake valuations for secured lending, financial reporting, acquisition, disposal and insurance.
• Value leisure assets (hotels, pubs, restaurants, health clubs, cinemas) using trading and investment approaches.
• Prepare clear valuation reports in line with RICS Red Book standards.
• Analyse trading accounts and market evidence to support robust conclusions.
• Build and maintain relationships with lenders, owners, operators and investors.
• Contribute to business development and growth of the leisure valuation offering.
• Mentor and support junior team members where appropriate.

About the opportunity

A leading national property consultancy is looking for a Commercial Valuer to join its valuation team, with a particular focus on the leisure sector. The role offers a varied portfolio of instructions and the chance to build your profile across the hotel, pub, restaurant, healthcare and leisure markets, supported by a well-established team and a genuine route to progression.

Key responsibilities

• Undertake valuations for a range of purposes, including secured lending, financial reporting, acquisition and disposal, and insurance
• Value leisure assets such as hotels, pubs and restaurants, health clubs, gyms, cinemas and other operational property, using both trading and investment approaches
• Prepare clear, well-structured valuation reports in line with RICS Red Book standards
• Analyse trading accounts and market evidence to support robust, defensible conclusions
• Build and maintain relationships with lenders, owners, operators and investors
• Contribute to business development and support the growth of the leisure valuation offering
• Mentor and support junior members of the team where appropriate

About you

• MRICS qualified, with RICS Registered Valuer status (or working towards it)
• Proven experience in commercial valuation, ideally with exposure to leisure or operational property
• Strong knowledge of valuation methodologies, including profits-based and DCF approaches
• Excellent analytical, report-writing and communication skills
• Commercially minded, with the confidence to deal directly with clients
• A proactive, collaborative approach and a desire to grow within a team
