Job summary

East Coast College is seeking a Commercial Trainer for the Lowestoft Campus to deliver outstanding learning across the college's Commercial provision. The role involves safeguarding, monitoring progress, and ensuring compliance with awarding bodies and college standards.

Salary on VH Lecturers Scale (£32.62 per hour) and fixed-term DBS checks apply; the post is permanent with variable hours and requires Level 2 English and maths with teacher qualification within three years.

• Experience with course quality, administration and compliance.
• Ability to contribute to curriculum development and stakeholder engagement.

Responsibilities

• Deliver high-quality teaching, learning and assessment across the college's Commercial provision.
• Develop schemes of work, lesson plans and learning resources reflecting curriculum requirements.
• Embed English, maths and employability skills within teaching activities.
• Monitor learner progress and implement timely interventions to maximise attendance and achievement.
• Maintain learner records, action plans and student documentation; support enrichment and progression.
