Job summary

East Coast College in Lowestoft invites applications for a Commercial Trainer to deliver high-quality learning across the college’s Commercial provision. The role is permanent with variable hours, paid on the VH Lecturers Scale £32.62 per hour.

The post requires safeguarding, inclusive teaching, and progression guidance. You will develop schemes of work, deliver engaging sessions, monitor progress and maintain accurate learner records.

Qualifications

• Deliver high-quality teaching, learning and assessment
• Provide effective student progression, tutorials and careers guidance
• Manage course quality, administration and compliance
• Contribute to curriculum development and stakeholder engagement

Responsibilities

• Deliver engaging, inclusive teaching and assessment across the commercial provision
• Develop schemes of work, lesson plans and learning resources
• Embed English, maths and employability skills in teaching
• Monitor learner progress and implement timely interventions
• Deliver tutorials, inductions and progress reviews
• Provide impartial careers guidance and progression support
• Maintain accurate learner records and documentation
• Promote recruitment and employer engagement activities
• Collaborate with colleagues and external partners to enhance curriculum provision
