Job description

Role: Commercial Strategy Lead

Location: Reading, Berkshire (Hybrid working)

Salary: £700-£800 per day outside IR35

Overview

This is an opportunity to be involved in a significant programme aligned with the long-term UK Defence Strategy. We seek individuals with experience in complex, high-value public procurement who can navigate strategically challenging environments.

Responsibilities
  • Devising commercial strategies for complex, high-value procurements and contracts
  • Contributing to the development of business unit strategies
  • Managing and maintaining commercial strategies and sourcing plans
  • Building relationships with senior stakeholders, including officials and ministers
  • Supporting the development of commercial strategies with data analysis and market insights
  • Managing supply chain security and contingencies, especially on nuclear sites involved in decommissioning and demolition projects
  • Evaluating mergers and acquisitions impacts on supply chains
  • Conducting market engagement and route-to-market assessments
  • Establishing dialogue and negotiation strategies
Key Experience

  • Practical knowledge in developing and implementing business strategies via supply chain management
