Job summary

The Guardian is seeking a Commercial Strategy Analyst to support its transformation programme. You will work in the Strategy function, collaborating with transformation leadership to enable data-led decisions and monitor the impact of new initiatives on an ongoing basis.

With a background in media or analytics, you will analyse financial and audience data, develop business cases, and create presentations for senior leadership.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in a commercially focussed role within a media business, or equivalent strategy or analytics experience.
• Strong analytical skills with a proven ability to build financial and other models.
• Ability to manage and challenge stakeholders.
• Demonstrable knowledge of MS Excel and SQL.

Responsibilities

• Support the transformation leadership team with strategic advice, helping them to develop and execute against their priorities.
• Analyse and interpret large volumes of financial and audience data to draw conclusions and support decision making.
• Support development of new high priority initiatives and business cases, deploying strategic frameworks and a broad range of analysis to understand the opportunity and strategic fit.
• Develop data-driven presentations to guide senior business leaders and support robust decision-making.
